Pastoral Council Nominations Wanted
October 19, 2025Nominations and Letters of Interest for the Christ the King Parish Council are being accepted through July 1, 2025.
Great news! We have two open positions on our Pastoral Council. Any confirmed, registered, and actively participating parishioner is eligible.
Please let Fr. Johnathan or a council member know you are interested.
This means that YOU now have the opportunity to be involved, to deepen your faith, broaden your community and help shape your church.
The Pastoral Council helps with the administration of the parish and acts as an advisor to the pastor. The bylaws state:
The Pastoral Council has been organized to a) enable the Clergy and Laity, represented by the Council, to participate in the administration of the parish; b) to present to all parishioners an organized way of sharing in the teaching and sanctifying apostolate of the Church, c) to facilitate dialogue and rapport between Clergy and Laity; d) to act in an advisory capacity to the Pastor in all matters.
The Pastoral Council also helps to increase missionary activities of the parish and Church at home and abroad. They work to increase vocations to the clerical and religious life.
Each Pastoral Council member serves three years. The member may choose to serve an additional 3-year term. Meetings are the first Monday of the month at 6:30pm in the Parish Center.
Parish Council Members: Floyd Hauth (president), Tina Stine, Tim Slifko, Paul Kitko, Mary Ann Hockman, Jim Rice, Ed Vancas, Jenny Leskovansky (secretary), and Ex Officio Deacon Gene Miller and Fr. Johnathan Schmolt.
